C-47 (FS9) uploaded

Great to see so many lovely paints in the works.

I am afraid a genuine DC-3 isn't currently on the agenda, but then I don't know what is either. It would mean opening a can of worms in the shape of number of windows, of exits, the engines ... and if that why not the Li-2, or the C-117, or the Basler, or the longnosed Antarctic R4D-5 on skis and JATO ... hmmmm....

Manfred, how about the XC-47C? :icon_lol:

many many thanks for this great bird, getting some good hours in in her, in both FS9 and X :jump:

Thanks for the update Manfred, and whilst you are thinking, the Li 2 hasnt been done for fs9.
And here's a WIP shot of a U.S. Dday scheme im working on.

:salute:I've been off the net for three weeks and finding this little gem was a sight for sore eyes!
Great work Manfred. Thanks for the HU Soothie. Owe you a few:icon29: Cheers!

Better see what else I've been missing while gone...apart from all you good folk here at SOH!
Love ya all! And don't worry...I'll be gone again the 'morrow so fear not for your peace & quiet!

cheers mate i have done a bit more too it this evening, and a couple of others if bin tinkerin with.

I have now got 1/2 dozen schemes about done and will get them uploaded in the next few days.

The Catalina Flying Boats C-47's are released. Download from here About half way down the page.

Aircraft are N403JB and N2298C and both are based out of Long Beach Municipal Airport (KLGB) and, last I knew, they flew cargo daily between Long Beach and Catalina Airport (KAVX) on the Catalina Island "26 miles off the coast".

Unfortunately, their website seems to no longer be up and a recent spotting of N2298C showed it wingless and without engines. Alternatively, a recent pass by their office shows they somewhat recently moved to a new location about 200 yards west of their old ramp. So I don't know if their still hauling freight or not.

Enjoy some sharp looking Dakotas!

Glad you like them, I just uploaded another 2 schemes one USAAF1st Air Commando and one SAAF 44 sqn, Slovakia, 1945.

That leaves 2 RAF, 2 Soviet, 1 poland. 1 Luftwaffe, 1 SAAF 1960's, and a US Dday to complete minor tweaks and upload.
And there are some more planned.

Some really nice work Steve, It's good to see some repaints starting to show up for the venerable ol' "Gooney Bird". :salute: D. Mosher, I really like the civilian repaint you did for this model.
