F7F Tigercat SOH Project

This is looking good. I look forward to flying her just as much as I had anticipated the Grizzly!

Flight Dynamics are coming along for the dash one. Waiting for thr Pilots Handbook to arrive with performance charts to do the fine tuning. And of course that will have to wait for my return from my current trip to the Mid East (not OHIO) and Asia.

The prototype -1 taking off from the main strip at Guadalcanal will be doing 220 knots by the time it gets to the end of the runway! Over 300 knots at SL on just max continouous power!

Cheers: T

This one looks really really great, may have to break my 1970-1980 rule to add it to fs. Thanks for the great work :)

Milton and team,
I know the plan is to produce an FS9 version with, in all probability, an FSX version, but I hope you don't mind if I say that I'm not sure where you stand on a version for CFS2. Some of us would dearly love to have this beautiful bird for our "senior" sim, especially if it can be made multi-res / multi-LOD (or whatever the correct technical term is). Please can you confirm whether this is part of your grand scheme,
thanks in advance,
Ro

Ro,

Thanks for your interest.

Although it has been my practice to work with CFS2 experts using MDLC to setup that version, the F7F model construction is being shared between me (exterior model) and another person doing the interior model. So, I can only say that an FS9 model will be available to convert to CFS2. If I have access to the interior model gmax source, I may be able to accommodate any tweaks required to get the MDLC conversion done. We will just have to wait to see how it all pans out.

Milton,
thanks for your reply - will continue watching with great interest and anticipation,
Ro

Well thank you Jan. Seems it was the beautiful work of Fred and his Beavers (plus Yannick Lavigne), and your excellent work from years ago that got me interested in doing this. Those were the days. :)

Hello Kitty!

That sure is one pretty airplane...and it isn't even done!

The maestro works his magic once again.

Thanks again Milton for sharing your talent with us.

The world is a better place with generous people like you.
