Hey Milton, i have a question, it was possible to convert it to nose steering right?
How about the early versions, dash -1 and -2? And the borate tanker? Are they anything near ready?... snipped[/COLOR][/B]
Thank you, Milton.
Prop textures in FS9 disappear. May be better in the 'Gold' version?

Milton, I'm running FS2004. I get the error prompt (see attached) when I select the plane to fly, when I click Fly Now, and when I shift to 2D cockpit view. When I comment out the gauge in the panel.cfg, no more error but of course no engine crank animation either. Just to troubleshoot I downloaded the A-26 (beautiful plane BTW) and I get the same error. I have FSUIPC v3.80 installed on the sim. Is there something else I need to tweak? You must be referring to FSX here? The gauge will not work in FSX.
Its function is to turn the engine slowly to cross 11 blades before allowing the magneto switch to flip. This works only using the ctrl+e start procedure. Looks very cool in spot view.![]()

In FS, go to Options/Settings/Sounds and move the slider to the right for Engines. I have mine at 50% and that's pretty loud.
Milton, after reading your post about the engine start gauge I installed a more recent version of FSUIPC (v3.98a, March 2010) even though the one I had should have worked. Do I need to have the registered (payware) full-featured FSUIPC? Sorry to come across as a dumbsh*t with this, if it's working in FS9 for other folks it should work for me, that's what I'm using.![]()
Mick,
The -1 is up to speed with all the other versions, as is the tanker. I have not uploaded the -1 as there are plenty now to fly.
We will have the -1, -3 fighter, -3 two seater and -3N.
I have no plans to do a -2 as there are so many similarities with others available.
I gave up on the Doug Dawson starter gauge. Must have something to do with my FS2004 install or XP or whatever. Just p*sses me off when I can't make something work right. Thanks anyway Milton for trying to help.
For these "interim" products, this is the "Gold" version. Must be a difference in your envmap and mine as I see the blurred prop textures, albeit faintly, as it is in the real world. I like them barely visible.
If you have an 3-bladed prop aircraft with textures you like, just drop them in the texture folder and rename to "spinprop". That should fix you up.![]()
Thanks, Milton. I used prop textures from my B-25J Mitchell, and get the faint display of prop textures I was looking for. Excellent!!
