FlightSim Developers P38 Now Released

Can you give us the status of the update that was planned for this past weekend?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Sure Tom.

Of course you know that the upgrade will include the new 'K' model.

We are testing it very thoroughly. All cross-title dll dependencies have been removed as well. Also, we are removing a lot of the extra data checking from our installer so that it will be a lot easier to install it. But we want everything checked and double checked this time before we release it. Should be coming by the weekend.

Tim,

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to it and am really enjoying the present one.

Yeah, don't rush Tim, guys! I'd rather wait and see an end to the dll issues, etc. once and for all.

Take your time, Tim. :)

Thanks Tim! It's good to see someone stand behind their product. Your help and attitude won't be forgotten by this customer!!:ernae::applause:

Me too.

Am still unable to fly my Commander, even though downloading & installing all you've made available, Tim, with the exception of the full installer downloaded again after Oct. 15. Though personally making several remarks about this Commander issue along with others including Jim Goldman, have yet to see this addressed on either thread.

Am really missing flying this. My YF-23 remains messed up too:

With all due respect, guys, am ready to uninstall everything true FSX from FSD... though the original full P-38 install with 3 or 4 service releases will not uninstall conventionally still. Am no longer willing to spend any more hours more than already has been done messing around, reading threads over & over. This all has really dented me concerning my enjoyment of your aircraft, guys. Have been at your back for years as well as supported your work generously. It has sadly reached the point that my enthusiasm is no more.

It's evident how you are presently almost bending over backwards to serve your customers, Tim,
& that is respected & appreciated. Am simply without the will to continue. The Commander presented
it's problems & frustrations of it's own at the outset nearly a year ago. Here we are again. Am not
angry or being negative. Am simply expressing the truth as well as my disappointment. As mentioned
before, have never signed on to beta test your wares & it feels as though that is precisely what has
been happening. Still wishing you all success, though, but have reached the end personally.
.

I agree with Mud on this one, Tim. Your efforts to satisfy your customers is to be commended, maybe even decorated :)medals::medals::medals:) for going "above and beyond".... I can't thank you enough for taking the time to help me solve my problems one-on-one, especially when I'm sure you were hard-pressed with the release itself. Having a ball with this plane, and will for a long, long time.:icon29::applause::jump::icon_lol:

I promised someone a 'putt putt maru' a while back, and finally got round to starting on that one.
Here's a few WiP shots, any comments so far?

Looks great Jankees. I'm really liking the weathering.

In the first pic, the stripes on the boom closest to us don't quite line up. I know you probably know this but I don't want you thinking we're not paying attention.

that's good, that you are paying attention!
Thank you!
I'm not there yet, I get the feeling that we have a small scale problem there, but things are improving:

one more round in the paintshop I fear...

I have some photos of the real Put-Put Maru taken at the Lone Star Flight Museum at Galveston, Texas a few years ago. From what I can see, you are very close. Please add the civilian registration to Put-Put Maru - N9005R. There isn't a lot of detail - it was in a rather crowded hanger next to a B-58 on one side, a single tail B-24 (don't remember the real designation) on the other, a PBY and Skyraider in front and quite a few others. I hear she's been repainted and moved. I don't know her current name, location or condition.

civilian registration? well, if you insist...but put it where?

Stickshaker,

I have not received any support messages recently about the YF 23. Did you send it to me personally at td@fsd-international.com, or did you send in an inquiry form?

Tim, I indeed sent it to the email address you quoted above, and in another thread (forgotten which one). I am glad that you now know about the problem. Can you give me a solution or is it perhaps being worked on?

Jan,

Like so. The thing right above it is a Lone Star Flight Museum decal. I don't think I have a clear shot of it, not on that airplane anyway. No biggie if that's not there.

Many Thanks,

Glenn

Looks great! The rainbow accross the boom is going to be a real pain though.

don't I know it! Who's idea was it anyway to make those booms like that?

and Glennc, the one in Galveston is of course not the REAL putt putt maru, those were the ones flown in '44-45, well to me anyway.
But here it is with registration and museum sticker (what do you mean, no biggie? I can leave off the reg as well then?), it is just the rainbows giving me trouble at the moment...
