Fellas, I've been using Firefox for years. I dumped IE because the only way to fend off its vulnerabilities is to continue filling my HDD with MS patches.

Per BB686's suggestion I D/L'd PowerZip and tried to open the Concorde Base; it tells me the file is corrupt. That's 3 utilities with the same message on 3 DLs of the base pack.

Stuart's right!!!

I just remembered H, that used to happen to me a lot; It turned out, the darn thing was logging out before completing a download. Infuriating!

check the exact size of the file you d/led.

It's probably an incomplete D/L. Bet my Christmas dinner on it!


I intalled Google Chrome and now DL through it. Problem solved.
 
Nigel, not only is your Christmas supper safe, but now I owe you a bottle of eggnog. DEFINITELY incomplete DLs! I tried DL'g with IE and it cut off pretty much where Firefox does.

So now I hafta decide if I want yet anudder browser (Chrome) on my PC.....

I'm leaning toward passing up the FSFrance Concorde, as I already have Libardo Guzman's.
But thanks to all for chiming in with help!

PS: Have you ever tried Ouzo eggnog?

Running IE9 here. The d/l stopped at 80%, so I pulled up the "View Downloads" window and hit Pause, then Resume. It restarted a few seconds after that and I got a useable zip. I wonder if you're not getting a complete file.
 
So the Concorde in this thread is a different Concorde model than the one over at Flightsim about a couple of months ago?

The one at Flightsim is an excellent model of the Concorde by LIBARDO GUZMAN and several of a team. A keeper! And needs no adjustments. However the download is about 70mb. But it is nice! Even has automatic, over the wing low pressure vapor.

The same applies to Firefox, as I have experienced here on SOH.
When you notice that the download stops, just press 'pause' and 'continue'.
This forces the download to restart from where it cut out.

Glad we got to the bottom of the problem.

Why decide H? I use several - Chrome mainly for up/downloading and on-line storage, hardly for anything else.

Lol! I'll try ouzo with anything buddy! :salute:
 
for what it's worth, i'm a Chrome user and have yet to have had a problem... usually my PC is to blame.... and when PC is to blame i get the blame for the size 13 assault boot scuff mark up the tower unit as to quote Flight of the Intruder "the manual says to kick the sonuvabitch, get the rotors going" ~Virgil 'Tiger' Cole (part of the reason behind my current Nickname of 'Tiger' ) :icon_lol:

back to Conc.... Olympic is done....

that should be illegal to taint ouzo with another substance... water fine... anything else and you'll find me a mile away with a clear line of sight and no breeze :icon_lol:

i've actually got a few more Conc's in the Bag.... where's my notepad.... can't be behind my ear like my graphics tab pen is when i'm looking for the bugger.... OK i was sat on it....

nearest Barracks are Whittington... i guess i could go wind up the Surgeon General for a while :icon_lol:

but yeah conc is in a holding pattern, has been parked at me nearest large airstrip until i empty my hangar so she will fit in :icon_lol:
 
I have just tried the pause-and-restart technique and I "got me a full download"! Sonofagun; now all I have to do is remember the trick next time. Thanks, Tom C. :salute:

Matt, speaking of The Flight of the Intruder...I have searched for it on VHS or DVD (preferably) without luck. Have you found it?
