I'm crushing the FPS rates with my new system 3.2 I7 processor with 6GB system memory and GTX 280 1 GB video card.

I was above satisfactory with my old system 3.0 processor , 2 GB memory 7800GTX 256MB (SLI)

I voted yes. When flying in formation with 4 squad mates @ around 5,000ft, I get 40-60 fps. In a dozen or more plane dogfight, closer to the deck it drops into the low 30s. I have no problems at all with BHaH on my system, and I'm going to add 2 more gigs of memory, when the postal service decides to deliver them. It should just get better. Right now the sliders are at 5,4,4,5,1.

I voted no.
Specs: Intel P4 3.2 ghz, Soyo Dragon 2 Mobo 800 mhz front side bus, 2 gig ram running at 400 mhz
Sapphire (ATI) Radeon HD3850 w 512 mb ram.
Settings 2,2,2,2,,2,1 Many things disabled in overrides, fog, prop disk, shell casings, rain, etc.
OFF settings Activity on normal (not high), aircraft detail on low, realism 100
Using trackir with dead zone set.

Flying campaign RNAS 8 (lots of clouds and rain), full squad takeoff I might get 12 or 14 fps with planes in sight. Might jump to 20 or 25 with just one or two planes in sight. Forming up over airfield drops to 4 or 5. 2 or 3 over Bertangles (5 airfields). Drops to 7 or 8 over front. I've been tweaking like crazy since I got BHAH but yields only negligable differences. Might be as much as 10% but 10% of 10 or 12 isn't many fps.

Also, I've resorted to using last summer's Omega drivers. They seem to give me a bit better performance than anything ATI has to offer at this time.

I know that my card is probably my main problem, but I get the feeling my CPU is also a bottleneck. Of course, that could also be because of general consensus that these cards aren't using the video ram and/or only 35% of the gpu in certain applications and shunting everything to and from the CPU. FYI, I run other games with no problemsd at all such as Fallout 3, COD4, IL2 1946, call of Juarez, Gun. I do have the same type of issue with Med Air War leading me to stick with my earlier postulation that my video card and it's attendant drivers do not mesh well with CFS3. Thanks for paying attention to all tihis, esp. when it's likely not any of your doing.

MAXFPS=40 in my CFS3.xml
I get 18 to 25 fps when taking off with 4 - 8 others on the field and 35 to 40 fps everywhere else including in a furball, over the front, over airfields, and during rain/snow storms.

I had to vote no, but I have a medium system with a medium-low video card. In general, I am getting 20-30 fps, sometimes higher, but lower around the front. In furballs near the front, my fps sometimes drops to 10-11 and produces a slide show.

My sliders are set at 5,2,3,4,1 with medium air activity set in Workshop. I have not noticed much of a difference setting terrain or scenery at 2 or 3.
My machine specs are:

AMD X2 4200+ at 2.44 GHz
EVGA Nvidea card 8600 GT (256 MB DDR2)
3 GB's DDR RAM
Asus A8N-E MB (Nvidea4)

I voted yes.

I run on a Sager 9262 laptop. E8600 CPU and 9800m GTX in SLI {I am unsure about one of the video cards. It may not be working}. XPSP3. 4 GB RAM. I run at 1920x1200. All sliders at 5 except for clouds {1} and the two terrain settings {3}. I have not tried to increase either clouds or terrain to see what the effects may be. It runs quite well right now.
I get a solid 29 fps at most times. I have seen it as low as 24 briefly. Back before I knew how to set the sliders and resolution I was gettting over 60fps {sliders all at 2 and 800x600}

I voted YES.
Great FPS..45-50 most everywhere under almost all circumstances -75 up high in the "empty blue"
Stats: E8400 CPU, nVidia 8800GT SLI'd, sliders 54453, 1920x14400 res.(when I increased the RESOLUTION from my typical 1024x768), FPS shot up by 20fps.

I have the regional air activity on heavy and haven't seen any problems with that setting.

Royce

I voted yes. Im lucky I can run it at all on this machine. Hence my building a new PC in the near future. Im embarrased to post my specs, but right now my max FPS is at 17, my lowest is at 4.5 (usually when looking at my hangers on a very overcast day). All sliders at... gulp....1. As you may have guessed Im running all the latest technology. Like....

Intel Pentium 4. 2.0GHz
SoundMAX Integrated Sound
Intel 82845G Graphics Controller

I cant wait to enjoy OFF with a REAL machine!

Sliders: 4,3,3,4,4

System:

Intel Dual Core 2.4 g, G35 Chipset, 3 Gig system RAM, XFX 8800 GTS 512 "ALFA DOG" card
22" LCD 1400x1050x32 refresh rate 75hz/sec

AA= x8
AS= x8

At these settings, I am running 55-65 fps just crusing along in flight formation, drops to 40-45 over the front, and 30+ during air combat. Honestly, I never see my FPS drop below 30. Under all conditions, employing the in-flight map will drop the FPS by 8-10. I do not have the min FPS config'd in the system.

I voted "YES"

If you need more info, just ask.

Count me as a yes (...*but...):

Considering my system which is a medium to medium low (?), I think I am doing just fine...getting 24-34 fps with many aircraft in the air (5+) and generally it's performing decently and looks good. (edit: I'm actually capped at 35 fps, but can achieve much higher at times (45+) without the cap - but the stutter rears its ugly head without capping).

Sliders: 4,3,3,4,2 @ 1280x960x32 85mHz refresh (the sweet spot for my system) with 2xAA, 8xAF

CPU: AMD Opteron 180 Dual core (overclocked to 2.76 Ghz)
2 Gig memory
ATI Radeon X1950Pro PCIe (256Mb) - modest overclock
WinXP SP3
Using ATI tweaks, End-it-all, and dual core optimized cfs3.exe as well as the ATI dual core optimization.

**However...BrisFits give a heavy FPS hit and drop a good 25% off my FPS (so unfortunately, I won't fly them). Also, my FPS take a big hit with airfields as well, and I drop to 14-18 FPS...also, haven't been in campaign yet with heavy fighting on the front so I'm not sure just what I'm going to get there yet...fingers crossed....would love to be 20+ at all times, but it certainly is more than playable for me.

I'm running perfectly good frame rates. Don't know the #, but I can say that I haven't noticed much in the way of choppiness or stutters after some tweaks and modifiying the exe to accept more than 2 gigs of memory. I have the occassional rare jerk as the game loads something, but apart from that it's smooth as silk.

I'm running:
ATI Radeon 2600 w/256 mb
Intel Q6600 quad core, not overclocked, 2.4 ghz
3 gigs of ram
vista 32

A/C slider at 5, effects at 4, clouds at 2, ground sliders at 3

Works fine here.

Intel Core2 Duo E6850 3GHz
2 GB RAM
NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB
Vista-32

All visuals on 5 except terrain on 4, normal-res skins so I can see bulletholes, heavy air activity.

I voted YES.

My specs are:

EVGA FTW 750i mobo w/E8400 3.0 GHz,
Zalman 9700 Cooler, EVGA 260 216 SC GPU,
4 GB RAM, SB XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro,
CH USB 568 Combatstick, Yoke & Pro Pedals
Windows XP w/SP2

My sliders are set to 5-3-3-5-4 (terrain and scenery at 3).

I'm the current Nvidia driver 181.22 with 4xAA, 8xAA at 1600x1200x32 resolution and v-sync forced off in the Nvidia control panel. I also have my E8400 OC'd to 3.6 GHz and my Super Clocked edition GTX 260-216 further OC'd at 680 MHz core, 1105 Memory speeds.

With the Spad XIII and Toul scenery I can achieve frame rates ranging from around 40-60 panning around on the ground to above 100 in a one-on-one dogfight. Mission dogfights with more aircraft at one time my frame rates vary between the 50's to upper 70's.

However, setting up 4 F2B wingmen on the ground and looking left toward the 4 aircraft my frame rate (with settings noted) with nothing moving is around 17 fps. Once airborne the frame rate runs between 25 and 40 depending on the number of planes being rendered. Simply put, for whatever reason rendering multiple F2B two seater aircraft really bogs down my system.

Hope this helps.

This is quite inspiring. I hope that the devs will not take the feedback in this thread as a signal to cut back on the wonderful details (fields, trenches etc). :)

Avg FPS 30

Minimum FPS was 100% caused by unseen combat taking place over the trenches approx ten miles ahead. Minimum FPS was seen again while engaged in dogfight at 800ft AGL directly over the trenches with one a/c.

While not ideal this was playable. While engaged in the dogfight the FPS varied from 14 to 26. At 14FPS the plane was controllable enough to endure, but right on the borderline.

Next campaign mission will be with air intensity set to minimum.
