Thank you very much indeed for your generous contribution. It has the distinction of being the first contribution for FS9 Evo, too!:ernaehrung004:

Best wishes,

Hi Sascha, the movie in England was nice. Textures look good. One thing you might want to look at is the whole area looks the same green. There's no variety. I don't know if the reason is your landclass or texture pack or maybe your location. Here's a screenie I took over England. I use FScene, Ultimate Terrain and a freeware landclass of the UK found on Flightsim. There's a variety of colors and shades. This was in spring. So you might want to consider how to add variety so it doesn't all look the same.

Good input! Thank you! I checked some areas on Google Earth and you are absolutely right. I can fix this very quickly. Should be able to post some screenshots or a short video this evening.

Cheers,
Sascha

Hi all,

here are the promised screenshots of English fields with more variety. I also improved some of the other field sets.

Sascha - you are down to the fine details now, and this is shaping up very nicely indeed to be an impressive final release!

Do us Beta Testers have anything else, in your estimation, to be looking for coming down the pike?

Yes indeed, I would like you to test the pre-release version with the seasonal textures for a couple of weeks or so!

Thanks for asking!

Sascha

Just put out the word it's in the drop box and I for one will get right on it.

Thanks!

Getting there! Here are some further screenshots showing difference between summer and fall. I think fall is finished too except for 1 set. Will just go over snowy winter to check if I have to amend some files but I judge that finished as well.

Summertime (near Berlin)

Fall, same place

And this image shows UK2000 photoreal, UT and Evo.
As you can see, they work reasonably well together.

Hi all,

time for another update. I am putting the finishing touches on the US cities (completing autogen, adding lights, tweaking other textures to fit and so on) and will consider the result the pre-release version.

This should be ready soon (maybe 2 weeks).

I will put up some more videos soon, I just didn't find time!

I also managed to get rid of those persistent towers in the UK - they have not appeared for some days.
The only issue I could find was a tree planted underneath a house, that seems to have promoted growth in the building.:pop4:
Removing the offending tree seems to have solved it, anyway.

Best,
Sascha

Sascha, I'm surprised at you, as smart as you are - didn't you know that offending object under the house was a tree-house? :redfire:

Hi Sean, as first contributor you are first in line for the pre-release! 1-2 weeks depending on my weekends progress. I seem to have some trouble with my PM box. I deleted lots of stuff but still cannot send PMs.

US cities ...

... first video. This shows the new US city mix. It includes large. medium and suburb textures for the US but still retains European textures as general city textures are used in both US and Europe (and in other places too).

The video is somewhat rambling and artless but I just wanted to cover a lot of ground. The entire video is recorded over Seattle or the surrounding area, with various aircraft.

Well here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zAaw7vOHlU&feature=youtu.be

I am flying over Seattle for the duration; at the beginning I am turning due east over Maury Island then passing over Desmoines where you can see KSEA over the port wing of the aircraft. Then continuing over Kent, turning NE towards Fairwoods and crossing the hills around and about Issaquah and heading for Sammamish (I think), then turning over Redmond. After that I placed some shots from two other flights - one in Dave Copley's P-38 (I think somewhere over Snohomish heading towards Seattle direction SW) and one in Dave Maltby's BAC 1-11, to the west of Lake Washington north of Marsh Island, heading south towards Seattle.

Have a nice weekend!
Sascha
