HMS Bounty Project 17th century Harbour scenery - FS9/FSX

That engine looks to have a lot of moving parts... I would expect nothing less than to hear each one clicking and clattering... as well as the ruckus combustion from each one of those cylinders. You ARE the master, Nigel... The cockpit as well as the visual model are literal eye candy, OUTSTANDING WORK!!:applause::applause:

Nigel, as I have said to you several times already, this is an awesome looking model. Love all the details inside and out. :applause:

Well I have an A W E S O M E Fishing Buddy without whose expertise, patience, inspiration and extreme generosity, I would be at a total loss!

Words can never express the gratitude, respect and admiration I hold for you - Bless you good Sir. :)

That is an absolutely beautiful plane you've got there. What model is it?

About the transparency issues - perhaps modifying one of the building textures to take reflection rather than transparency would solve the issue. I've noticed that throughout all versions of FS so far, if there are two textures with transparency that are behind one another as you view them, the combination is displayed as fully transparent. This might be solved by making sure one of the textures (as in the building behind your props, perhaps) is not set up for transparency.

Thank you, Sir; the model is the Avro 621 Tutor.
you probably didn't recognise her in the uncowled version.

The cowled model is probably more familiar. There ya go;

Re your suggestions on transparencies - always willing to take a shot at anything. We'll get there :)

EDIT: The above pic is an older shot before addition of final engine detailing.

Nigel, the wee bird is such a gem! Can't believe how meticulously detailed the Tutor is in both guises, with and without cowling! :-O . Amazing is just an understatement!

Cheers,
Maarten

Aaaawe thanks Maarten :)

Juggling act between wanting to add more and poly count saying NOooo!!!

Just means creatively finding workarounds and lots of LEARNING. :ernaehrung004:

The final version sans Townend will also have the modified nose area - that's also the one I'll be fitting out with a pair of floats.

I'm seriously considering the Polish licence built, modified design variant; PWS-18.
This aircraft sported the slightly more powerful Avia Wright Whirlwind 9-cylinder radial (240 hp?)

I think I'd better set up a separate thread specifically for the Avro project, as hopefully, we should be seeing some developments on the scenery here.

Sorry to interrupt, Nigel's plane is simply stunning, but...

about the HMS Bounty Project ........ ?

Thank YOU, Sir - you're quite right of course; time to start a specific thread for the Tutor and unclogg the scenery posts. :wavey:

Tutor is daily heading closer to open hangar doors - the scenery and Milton's gorgeous skiff will be next in line.

Working on the Avro Tutor has been a steep but awesome learning experience.
I believe this will be beneficial to the final Bounty scenery package - I am now able to consider including various animated objects and items beyond my former modeling capabilities.
