Milton's Howard 500 a fresh look!

Well guys, just awaiting permission from some folks, which I'm pretty sure will happen. When that happens this will be a standalone package. Milton has sent me revised models, so I'm making improvements to reflect those changes.

I'm back at experimenting with painting... fading paint. On top of the fuselage, the paint is almost faded to the metal, just like being bleached by the sun! Not easy to due in as how the skin is formed on top and rear part of the fuselage is separate from the front part. Trying to blend those two parts can drive you crazy!;)

By the way, painted this over the model you see above. No kit was used. I'm working on a basic paintkit, my first, so I hope you guys are good painters!

Few more, focused on the cowls...

Okay, I have been watching this thread and now I think I'm going to :pop4:. Getting too excited. :icon_lol: Can't WAIT for this to finally be released!! Great work EVERYONE!!! Best regards to all, Jeremy aka Birdy

P.S. TuFun, how did you get your water to look so good? Your graphics look better than FSX. How can I do that too??

The Man has let me know it's a go! ;) Now to write up the legal stuff that's required to release this project. I'm looking at this weekend for the release of phase 1... cargo version. -TF

Put some time into the passenger version so it will be added to the basic package.
Tomorrow or following day should be ready to upload.

Looks like the bare-metal paints for the Passenger and Cargo versions have been posted - downloading now. Can't wait to see the rest!

They are indeed in the library! :jump:
Well worth waiting for! TU FUN has done a fantastic job once again! :salute:
Thanks so much for allowing us to follow the progress on this wonderful aircraft.
Also a big thanks to Milton Shupe & Co for supporting Tu Fun's project.

Cheers for all the work that went into this, it is stunning!

A few small issues with the download: The eng_t.bmp in the cargo version needs resizing to 1024, and the alpha for the spinprop texture was needing brightening up to make the props visible in FS9. Done in a few minutes!

Great Job,

Thanks again, Stuart

Ops... use the eng_t.bmp from the passenger version, that one is 1024x1024. Fix in the works, will reupload as Howard 500 fix complete model and remove the previous version.

:applause: :applause: :applause:

You made me late for work this morning :icon_lol:

I saw the 500 was available so I just had to try it out :jump: :jump: :jump:

Brilliant work, thank you for your dedication to making this aircraft even better.

Looking forward to some exciting repaints.

Hello Ted, your new textures are beautifully detailed. The R-2800 sounds by Adam Murphy and Jesse Casserly are symphonic. Also appreciate Ed's elegant VC textures. Thank you for a great update package for Milton's classic.
