Hello gentlemen,
How to change the color of the fuel level:
With dxtbmp, open fuel.bmp from the texture folder, save it as bmp image 24 bits.
With Mspaint, open fuel.bmp, change the color as you want and save it in bmp format.
With dxtbmp, open fuel.bmp and save it as an extended image with DXT3 option and that's done. Simply copy fuel.bmp from texture folder then past in each other texture folder (texture.1, texture.2 etc...)
Sorry for the inconvenient.
Best regards, Michel.
Ps: Cees, this week was a very very busy week but things are going on, the G1 grows up day after day! Huub is working hard with the texture cause I had to redo the mapping of the fuselage. Poor Huub...
Some news s**n in the right post.
Michel.

Tried the formula....didn't work...still pink. I opened the CAB and there is a bitmap named level.bmp. It is pink. I changed the pink to another color, reconstituted a new CAB and now the fuel tube is transparent, but no fuel level shows.
hmmmm... maybe that much info will stimulate an "Oh yeah!" from someone that can now figure the fuel in the tube.

Oh yeah!... I'm a stupid idiot! That's done and the fix file is uploaded. Sorry again for the inconvenient. Dogknot you were right, but maybe if you used Photoshop, this program doesn't modify the color of indexed image when saved (or something like that) you need to convert before to bmp image then after transformation convert again to indexed image.
Have a nice day all.
Regards, Michel.

Whoa, I hope the "I'm a stupid idiot" was/is a joke because I sure didn't mean for anything I wrote to reflect such a thing. I simply stumbled on the pink bmp in the CAB, modified it and went in to FS to see what happened...then shared what I saw.
I'm glad you knew what I meant and were able to fix it.

Dear Dogknot, it was only a joke and was adressed to me, and I said that just for fun. A stupid idiot cause when I tried to solve the problem the first time, it was only for the external cockpit, but the gauge is not visible (or so few). The fix I uploaded now change the color of the gauge in VC.
Nice day.
Michel.

:isadizzy:Sorry, you need to convert in RVB before to change the color, then, when it's done, convert to indexed before saving.
