Speculation

Hi guys, a lot of us seem to be very concerned about getting our copy of P3. After all the hard work and long hours of developement I assume that the production and packaging of the finished product may be more professional than some of us may expect. P3 deserves the works and we are paying this time around. Some may imagine the developement team is in their homes wearing out their dvd burners making copies of P3 one at a time, but I don't think so. The game was developed and and packaged to get into our hands as a professional product and to as many people as may want to experience the best WW1 flight sim to be had. List, no list, I can't see a need to worry. Just some thoughts.
 
Yes, after getting the latest assurances from Polovski and others, I think that the whole issue of the registration list is somewhat redundant now. I'm guessing, but my feeling is that P3 will be generally available to all that want it, probably due to the production quantities that the developers have in place.

I've heard that the factory producing the P3 discs is underground in a secret cave in the Amazon jungle, but it's just a rumour so far...:kilroy:
 
I'm sorry that I revived this list issue, but it was an honest 'mis-assumption' that came about from the fact that we were asked to register ahead of time and the fact that no confirmation was received. The other part of this is the fact that the whole list concept gave many of us the impression that there would be a somewhat limited production based on numbers and that discs would be slowly produced and released as required...like gramaphone records...:icon_lol:

Apparently that whole process has been revised to accomodate the thirsty masses. :ernae:

So the list that originally gave the team some idea of interest levels and production numbers probably doesn't matter much any more!

Thanks very much for the clarification Jimko! As per your mis-assumption, I too thought that membership on "the list" was a requirement to attain a copy of P3...I'm very glad to hear that this does not seem to be the case :ernae:

Yes it was needed before as we were doing it ourselves, and one-at-a-time requires a queue, now we don't need a queue :).
 
Stunning news! Now we will all get our copies at the same time :ernae:.
Hope those british publishers burn DVDs fast!
 
When will we recieve our billing notification for our individual OFF BHAH P3 package that confirms our shipping address and gives us our payment instructions? The whole world awaits.

Just to clarify my meaning here - those that have pre-ordered over the past months rest assured we know who you are...

But you do not need to pre-order any longer - we are well on our way to having the DVD distributed via a third party specialising in this work and so we will not be manually making a handful of DVDs per day etc etc.

I'm sure there will be copies for all who want them. I was under the impression that the list was more to gauge interest to help the development team decide how to proceed with distribution.

Now then, now then, no need to be hasty young man! Rather than speeding up time, with all the attendant problematical issues that would ensue, take your time and practice in Phase 2, have regular cold baths and breathe deeply and slowly, be kind to your spouse (if you have one), children and furry animals, take up an alternative interesting pastime such as macrame, basket weaving or origami, engage in some volunteer work in your local community, become a youth leader or social worker and then you'll find that the time will pass quicker than quick and people will remember you and speak fondly of you after they've lost track of your whereabouts, little realising that all the while you've been in the study wallowing in Flanders mud and glorying in a million acres of sky ever since P3 popped through your letterbox.

Well, this is some good news, I think, though we are all still wondering when P3 will ultimately ship and how that will all be accomplished.

I am also wondering whether the game will ship with things like a printed manual, DVD case w/art work as a cover, etc. These things would take time to produce, which could explain the delay in distribution.

No. We have a very small audience, and see no need to up the cost.

From Pol's design studio. It was just another 4am bedtime, and did not delay anything. As soon as they get pressed, they will be on their way to you.
