Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated Tom Clayton has offered to post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Sales For Anything FSX

Not a sale, but there is a bunch of former Milviz FSX aircraft (GA, military and a classic 737) available as freeware now on the Blackbird site.
These are top quality addons for anyone who wants to add these particular types to their hangar.

For anyone interested in European airports, there are a number of very nice Spanish (Madrid, Malaga, Barcelona and Valencia) and Italian airports (Naples and Genoa) from Aerosoft currently on sale at 25% off at Simmarket (and possibly elsewhere) for the next 3 days. I own all of these and can confirm that they are of very good quality.

FSX users wanting to treat themselves to some addon airports for Christmas should note that Taxi2Gate, RF Scenery and Tropical Sim all have airports with 20-40% off for the next two weeks or so on SimMarket (and undoubtedly on other vendors sites).

The excellent UK2000 Xtreme airport scenery covering most UK airports are now on sale at Simmarket (and possibly elsewhere) at very reasonable prices (only 8.39EUR including big airports like Heathrow and Gatwick!) for anyone wanting to add some of these to their FSX/P3D world. They are great quality and I can highly recommend them.

For anyone who wants to enhance their South American scenery, the excellent Paulo Ricardo scenery addons are on sale at Simmarket for another few days. I can highly recommend them and, despite thier large size, they don't appear to have any big performance impacts.
