Creating Landclass & new gsl for such a large land area is VERY time- consuming & monotonous

But I've managed to extend the coverage to include the Salween river & Moulmein.

Just hand-flying the (many, many) rivers to match the mesh to do.





As this would take mesome time to complete, I'm taking a bit of a break to work on some of the airstrips useful to the AVG Campaign revamp.

Allen's upgrade of Gary Aumaugher's old ki-30 Ann, using his PSD template as a start point. My interest was "prodded" after doing some research for AVG airfields - seems 31st Sentai operated out of MaeSohn, west of Raheng.

Back to scenery building - this time the Loiwing area on the China - Burma border.


It seems the AVG used the Suili strip (inside China proper), whilst the RAF were left to use the less-ideally located strip at the CAMCO plant, a bit further West...

Also took the opportunity to work on Thicko's B339E Buffalo.


Reduced the shine on the model, revised the contact points & airfile (no more incessantly bobbing wingmen), & worked up a 67 sqn RAF paint, using one of Sopwith Chameleon's US Buffalo repaints as a starting point.

I ended up revising the Nate airfile to make them more challenging.

6 x Ann with 2 x 4 Nate escorts vs 2 x 3 Buffaloes.

The mission was built to check out the ki30 Ann AI behaviour & try my modified Buffalo airfile, I decided the Nate needed some work after getting 4 of them in my Buffalo...

Now I can still mix it with them, but it's hard - give them a bigger numerical advantage & I'm sure I'd be quickly overwhelmed....

Knocked up a 64 Sentai skin for Akemi's ki-43-1k model.


Capt. Katsumi Anma, CO of the 3rd Chutai. He was shot down over Loiwing by the AVG in April '42.
