A BIG thank you to Jan and his crew for this 'Cadillac of the Skies'. Just Incredible..:applause:

Your post sparked our curiously so we decided to also check the number of downloads received by Flightsim.com and Sim-Outhouse. Right now the combined total number of downloads received by all three websites has exceeded 24,000! :isadizzy:

Let's see..... Twenty-four thousand Sabres sharing the same FS airspace. That's what I would call pretty crowded...:d Loving this Sabre!

According to "The Complete Encyclopedia of World Aircraft", 1,539 E and F models were produced. Suprisingly, it lists the D model as the most numerous, with 2,054 produced.. "The American Fighter Plane" by Ted and Amy Williams lists total Sabre production at 8,681, a record for a US jet fighter...

I thought that looked like GJ Smith's work! I looked there but missed the page. Thanks!

I'm still hoping for someone to make the Wyatt Fuller repaint.

I don't know what that looks like? Any pictures?

I was informed that two of my earlier repaints (Malobola & 8ball express) contained errors, so I've updated them, see if you can spot the difference!
While I was at it, I also painted "Jackies Boy" as flown by Lt Scarff.

A quick note to Markus's JA-111, I believe the "Richthofen" patch was not on the planes when JG-71 was formed but added after they were "combat ready" and the name Richthofen was given to the Geschwader. Once one the planes it should be on both sides though!

Hi, Uwe!

Just dropped over from the SECTIONF8-Forum, I noticed this thread.
As I wrote in the 'readme' of the upload, I did not intend to perform an absolutely accurate repaint - though I tried 'as real as it gets'... :icon_lol:

I'm lacking of sources, especially I did not have any pic of the JA-111's right fuselage side in bare metal. I agree with your assumption that the patch was attached when JG-71 get its Name 'Richthofen' (on April 21st, 1961), and I fear this girl was not 'bare' in this year anymore. So the emblem should be worn by the camoed plane only...

Currently, I'm working on the Luftwaffe Camo (candidates are the 'BB-254', the 'JA-111' with emblems on both sides and the target-tug D-9538, operated by Condor from Westerland/Sylt).

To provide an accurate lettering and further details, I have to wait until the F-40-book about the german Sabres gets delivered.

So stay tuned...

Grüße aus Berlin in den Süden,
:ernae:
Markus.

OK Gentlemen, let me introduce you to Ascua, first Spanish Aerobatic team in their first livery.;)
I have still a couple of problems with the underside, but I hope to upload it so... Shortly I mean:banghead:.
Critics welcome of course.
Hope you like it.

Very colorful scheme, Ascua02.:applause: A very cool looking paint. I had never seen the colors worn by the Sabres in service with Spain. I'll be looking forward to it very much.:medals::ernae::applause:
