Actually, I quite like the burner effects and find them at least as realistic as the AS bird...

However, if you don't like them and you have the AS bird, feel free to change them out.

For those who wish to limit the amount of AB fire/flame effect without having to do major surgery with the effects/ config, and panel/gauges, simply open up the T-38 Cfg file and scroll down to [SMOKESYSTEM] and comment out the following:

This edit will simply keep the fire/flame portion of the effect inside the burner can for those who prefer that look(daytime AB look) and if you want to restore the full effect for lowlight/night flights, simply remove the forward slashes.

Hmm... I could easily do this in the AB logic, to limit the full AB effects to only night ops, and have a less visible set of effects for dawn/day/dusk ops.

Seeing as how I'm working on some fine-tuning of the AB system anyway...

That's a well known false alarm which is unfortunately rather common with the Flight1 wrapper

AB effects that vary with time of day! You can do this! Would add even more to the Eagle.

To anyone sitting on the fence over the T-38A, this thing handles unlike anything we have ever had. Downright addictive just flying, learning to fly, the overhead approach. So go for it! You haven't done this before! Prove to yourself that you really do have the skills. ( we can take your word for it, can you? )

OK guys. Shutting off AVG allowed me to install the sim. Now a couple of items that I should and will post in the Milviz forum but thought I would post to this great forum:

- Jet engine sound does not shut off when switching between aircraft.
- AB effect sometimes does not shut off, even after powering off.
- AB effect has a square illuminated area around it. see screen shot below.
- Pilot no helmit, helmit, no pilot in T-38 Black model. see screen shot below.
