Tailwind Released!

I did a little 'Dawn Patrol' time last night. Flew a couple of circuits from EDDS Stuttgart International, up to Pattonville. Good fun.

By Fengz suggestions for scenery and sky, it was pretty spectacular. (Oops, this is in FS9). Anyways, active weather had 10 miles visibility with a very low cieling, no rain or high winds. Low viz made finding little Pattonville airstrip a bit 'daunting'.

Thanks to Bill Leaming for the brilliant light effects and sound system for clicks and squeaky ice box.

Love that paint scheme BB!

Beautiful shots Bill, love the look of the weather in the shots, very realistic. :ernae:

To truly appreciate all the hard work that went into the Tailwind, she should really be flown into Virtual Oshkosh this weekend. :) She's a Beaut!

Hey - I'm sure no one forgot that baby, but there is a time to write about it and a time to fly her (what I currently enjoy with G-ZIPY).
What I'm really missing is a solid coloured W10 like this one http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1078874/ (yes, I know, it's a W8) with black interior and dark glass
for longer distances with an AP onboard. Those shiny "metal" effects are not my favourites on a plywood and rag bird.
It's peculiar: I spent lots of money for excellent planes I knew since I was a kid and got at least hooked on a somewhat ugly unknown homebuild I bought as a bargain:pop4:.

If Batman flew the Tailwind, this would most likely be the scheme on his bird.:wiggle: Will be in SOH library soon.

I had to use my imagination on some parts that don't show very well on the photo I used as a reference, but I think it turned out ok...

Comes with white leather seats and black leather door panels.

BTW Bill, is that the surprise TW model you were talking about? Looks like a pretty rare thing.:icon_lol:

@scotsman: I can make this with Aussie reg also, and upload it to aussiex.org.

Hey Pekka,

Goodness! Thats brilliant! Awesome work on the graphics. That is first rate.

On the TriCycle gear variant, yep.

They are actually 'slightly' common. Rare, but they are around. There are quite a few out there.

This is the prototype. It should be ready in the near future and will be in the updates, so existing owners will get it free.

I'm not sure if this post will show, because at this point in time, the last page of this thread seems broken...but just in case.

I took the Tailwind out for a short flight this evening and for the first time in ages, took a few screenshots while doing so.

Great work Bill and well done Bob on the lovely repaint, thank you.

Pictures on the following page.
