• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Thought I would sneak that in while you were incommunicado, Walter ! (Quick recovery ?)

Here's another obscurity which I'm sure you will name without even having to look it up.....

He's got it again :icon29: -( Kevin, we need something from the Tierra del Fuego Aircraft Company, preferably about 1916...............)

will not work.
The Tierra del Fuego Aircraft Company went bust in 1918 when the ice melted and before their first plane flew.

....and was designed by a fellow who produced an even more unconventional twin-boomer, beloved of aviation quiz compilers.

This one seem to have slipped through the nets of many of the normal sources....

OK. This is first SCAL Rubis, no 01, F-ALZZ, flown in 1933, before the better-known and stupendously ugly FB30.

Here's a boxy little number...

This one built by a substantial company better-known for larger aircraft. 3 guesses as to the nationality.

It looks like one of those Farman touring jobs offhand. Bit busy today for mystery planes though. Short day at work and then off to the baseball game.

Another half pint on the way?

Got quite a sunburn this afternoon but enjoyed watching the Rangers win 6-5 in the bottom of the 9th on a wild pitch. Good stuff!

Will press on here so the Euro Gents (and night owls) will have something to gaze at over their morning cup 'o joe.

In keeping with the theme of late...

My (French) source lists the Farman (same aircraft) as the 351, but not even a Scotsman will use that as an excuse not to top up the glass ! :icon29:
