Warbirdsim Mustang for FSX - Download

I just thought about buying this Addon (despite the enormous Price).
It would have been my second Addon at all (im a Newbie).
My first Addon was from Classics Hangar wich i could download 10 minutes after paying via Paypal.
But after reading about all those customers which getting trouble to use an Addon they already paid for i decided to wait for A2A´s Pony.
Probably a non-existing Customer service will end up in non-existing Customers:isadizzy:
Just my thoughts.

To be fair I'd hardly describe the price as enormous since it's now been reduced considerably. Talking purely in terms of the quality of the model itself I have to say that it's more than worth the asking price. It's a superb model. If Warbirdsim can sort out the customer service side of things then they have a winner.

Youre right about the Price. Last Time i was looking it was about 50 Euros... now its half the Price.
Good to know. Maybe there is hope and the Problems get solved.

Dear Fellows - just got an email from PayPal - they told me that it is not possible to get back your money via PayPal - that is, so their statement only possible for material goods - not for downloads ! Want to let you all know that. Now I will have to contact Visa.

If someone from Warbirdsim will read this - emails seems to be not answerd by this company - I feel completly ignored - Will you refund me in a manner of honor or shall we start a legal dispute ? I hope we can handle that in a normal way of buissnes-relationship.

Just read on a different webpage that warbirdsim is connected to well known Ariane and hence they have the same copy protection....hope that isn't true! sigh

:O Not the "A" word!!!

In all seriousness I hope you guys get everything sorted out. I will not buy any more addons that use such an archaic system like Ariane's, Warbirdsim's, and like that of the Skysim Hawk.

If someone instantly takes my money, I expect to instantly be able to use the product.

Fireball, i hope you got this sorted out and your money back!
A good Manner would be to give youre Money back and (as compensation) send you an activation Mail.

Oh, that is not good at all. I may have to contact my bank and see what my options are there if we can't get this thing going. I hate to think legal action, but seems like if we do not get any satisfaction from Warbirdsim then maybe some international internet crime laws might come into play.

Unfortunately, I seem to be moving along the same trail as many of the other posters. In my case, I haven't tried authentication yet but I did read the instructions and I can't find what Warbirdsim refers to as a "Cart ID". One apparently needs this in order to authenticate the product or to request support. Can one of you who found his number tell me where you found it? I received a confirmation email from Warbirdsim but there is no such number in it nor is it listed in my other registration feedback.

Stan V.

Stan, did you pay by Paypal or credit card? I paid by Paypal and it's at the very bottom of the paypal confirmation email, the invoice id# is what I used.

Also I noticed that in the link I was sent to download the product towards the right side of the link it states the order id# there also.

We'll save you a spot where we're camped out waiting on this to be resolved.:guinness:

Darrell

The cart ID is included in one of your emails from warbirdsim (there is a simpler way to find it, but I can't remember where at the moment!) - I've just been back to my original purchase, the one that worked, and in the 'warbirdsim order confirmation' email there is a link. Towards the end of that link, you should find "orderID=XXX&assetID=258" ,

XXX is the cart ID / order ID number that you need.

Thanks, Delta. I found a number there just as you described. Will use that and see if Warbirdsim accepts it. I can't be any worse off than I am now...

Yeah, reckon I'll have to do the same. Wondering if their silence has a genuine reason (e.g computer failure) - if so they'll have a ton of mail to sift through when they're back up and running!

to be fair, they did mention windows 7 upgrade problems a while back..
let's hope that's the problem, and that it is solved soon..

By all Respect - 1. if they have such big Problems - they can give all customers a short info via these and other forums. 2. Why got some people after the 4.th January emails, confirmation-emails, download-links and activation-codes and other people not ? A professional Company should be able to handle "Problems"
like the upgrade to another Software without such a big "whole" in their "customer-service". Let us see what the new week is bringing ........

Forget something - did someone of you bought the new released SuperCub from Flight-Replicas ? That is one of many other very good example what Customer-Service is - straight and simple and fast as a lightning !!!!!!!!!! Simply wonderfull, that bring my hope back ....

I just got a reply from Warbirdsim about me pasting only the code last week, and not the heading and ending text before the code "was not right". :173go1:

Then after that another email has now came thru with what I hope is the correct activation code. I'm heading out for breakfast now and will see when I get back.

Hopefully it works and the rest of you guys can get yours sorted out today also.

Darrell

Are you serious. What a lame way to activate. Ironic how they thought the added security would save them money! :icon_lol: How ridicules!!!
They make me sick! :barf:

Well, I take it back, and I owe Warbirdsim an apology - emails arrived from them this afternoon asking me to double check that the activation code had not arrived, because as far as they are aware all current purchases have been activated. You may remember that I have activated my copy but the one I bought as a present for my father was causing the problems. And it turns out he's been sitting on the activation code for the best part of a week:isadizzy: So I talked him through the activation and he now has it up and running.

I still think that the activation process is unnecessarily convoluted, but it turns out that, for me, the hardest part of the process was dealing with my father:icon_lol:

I also got a reply. Could I send them the entire set up so they can check what went wrong.
That is a zip file of 450 Mb. Any suggestions for a method I can use? Rapidshare etc only goes to 100 Mb I believe..
