2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 76,000 miles. We've had it for 6 years.
1997 Ford Taurus wagon with 13357 miles on it. Was my mothers car and when I got it in 2007 it only had 7,812 miles on it.
Tho the one in my sig is my baby. 400ci, 330hp, 4bbl, 4 speed, posi. 115006 miles on it ... as fas as I can tell. And I was told no one has ever ridden in the back seat of this car.

Remember the ones with 4 wheel steering?? Those were hot.. At slow speeds, the rear tires turned opposite the fronts for parking.. (tight cornering). At fast speeds and highway, they turned slightly with the fronts for lane changes... Amazing technology.

Nice, haven't seen one on the road in a while. Well they were a rare sight anyways!
I had a little girlfriend in high school that had one with 4 wheel steering and she'd let me drive it all the time. I loved that car, especially since it looked better than my beat up truck.

Well, my wife pilots a 2006 Toyota Sienna minivan, and I fly a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup. I still have a ways to go on paying off hers, but my truck was paid off the day I bought it a year & a half ago :woot:
I really like my truck...nothing 'awesome' about it. It's clean, paid for, and the nicest personal vehicle I ever owned.

Once we get the engine and drive train installed (March Deadline!!!) I'll be giving this expensive little restoration project a good work out!!!
It's been a long and painfilled project, but worth it!
I should have removed the stupid 'hole in the roof'!!!!!
Maybe next year.

1985 Volkswagen GTI. Still has a great mileage/performance ratio. And it's a greatly functional 3 door design and interior layout, with classic exterior styling. Lines where they need to be and nothing where it doesn't need to be. Though not toward less; of benevolently desired application and transcendence ...

That will be a fun car to drive.
I wouldnt take that sunroof out Wombat! I think they add to the driving adventure.

I used to work on a racing team when I was a kid. My boss was John Horseman, who used to be number two under John Wires, president of Mirage Racing at the time, who created and ran a new race car back then backed by Ford called the Ford GT-40.
They had problems with people getting in. They couldnt get in, lol.. So they made a rounded area on the top for each door, the door wrapped up along the roof, so you had an area for your head to drop down through when getting into the car, (sort of like a Bellanca aircraft with that door that curves up over to the roof area).
Well, at 240 MPH down the Mulsane straights, the vacum from the wind was so great that the door lip/area on the top lifted just a slight bit, that thing would snap off in the wind. The effect though was like a small cannon going off, which is scary for a driver who is keeping the car straight at 240 MPH. They found a way to make a neat little aluminum flange catch piece that lined the edge of the door sill at the top. They were thus able to keep the doors tops from exploding off..
I think it was for Dan Gurney that they had to finally make those door cutouts in the roof. He just couldnt get in otherwise. (Tall guy).
Thought you might want to hear that, knowing you have a GT-40 yourself. John had amazing stories.. He just came out with a book on them, 'Racing in the Rain' I think its called... Amazing history.
