TGYCGIJOES have you quit on NAS Alameda? I have a load of reservists for the terminal.

Good to hear. We'll check out Reno until the base is reopened. lol
Yes, it's my own NAS Glenview. I've stolen to much to publish it.
...I don't really know how to ask Mr. Dhaenens for his permission, I've never published before.
If I don't get any feed back, I'll sub what I can and give it a shot.

Waiting with anticipation for your NAS Glenview. Too bad we're all doing this stuff 20 years too late. Didn't take very many pictures. I spent one weekend a month at Glenview and was on the flightline every Open House. My boss was personal friends and golf buddy with the C.O. both of them living in Glenview. We lived in Mount Prospect which is the next suburb west. Didn't have to stay in the BOQ either at NAS Glenview or Great Lakes unless I wanted to.
I echo your comments about wishing I had taken more pictures of bases I had been on. But do have to add that it wasn't a easy matter to do so, way back then. Base security would interfere quickly if they saw anyone taking pictures on base, and especially anywhere near the flightline. And it doesn't help matters when most of the buildings get torn down and replaced. NC

My funniest story was at NS San Diego. Being a new officer, I was on the starboard side as we left the harbor with my trusty Nikon (ignorantly) shooting pictures of the Sturgeon Class SSN just going out to sea...all of a sudden over the 1MC blares the announcement: "THIS IS THE CAPTAIN...Will the officer taking pictures of that sub put his camera in his stateroom safe and leave it there on the double"! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPS.
