Serious Italian 1940 Metal

I agree ... and hopefully this will be one of them

Got the engine cowls and nacelles, gear doors and flaps in place and animated.

Now for some engines and props :jump:

wow! she looks stunning! always have had a soft spot for things with 3 engines.... Ford Tri-Motor, Ju-52, L-1011, DC-10, MD-11, 727....

absolutely beautiful craftsmanship Milton, on a side Note Harpoon has roughly 1 more mornings work left on the internals :salute:

Thanks y'all :)

What's more amazing is that I exported her to the sim for a checkout and taxi test and next thing I knew, I was in the air. :wiggle:

So, thought I would do a couple screen grabs for ya before I get back to finishing out the rest of the prop work.

Wednesday, a good day for progress for engines, nacelles, props ,temporary gear, and a first successful export to the sim. :jump:

:icon_lol: OMG! Did I just say "amazing"???
-

i'm more shocked you said "OMG" than Amazing :icon_lol:

but WOWEE! she sure is a beauty... excellent timing too Milton, i should finish Harpoon today... gives me about a week off (if you don't let up in pace!) if i do before i plunge nose deep into this thing.... :jump:

Well, Milton - one thing kind of nicely leads to another...

Ah HA! So you were the one who stole the tires off of my good ol' "Grizzly"...:icon_lol: Somehow I think Nigel is behind this little stunt. He is always "Pinchin' me Flag"...lol.

This one is really starting to come along nicely, sir. :salute:

LOL uh, borrowed to use for testing while I construct the new ones, piece by piece, all custom work sir. That will take a day or two.

Doesn't appear that different from a DC-2 or DC-3 at first glance.

(Not that I could model it though!)

That was my thought as well initially Ferry.

The only things I do not have a really good picture, diagram, and specs of on this are the wheel and tire.
If anyone has something that would help, I would be most appreciative.

EDIT: Nevermind on that request. It was just a matter of focusing on the specific need to find the necessary data. :)

You have some great reference material Milton.

It's part of the many benefits of doing a community-involved and -aware project. People like to be involved and be part of these projects and we all benefit from that participation with more engaged members and better quality projects. I do this not for the kudos but for the spirit of community activity and participation. It's just plain fun. :jump:
