Thanks to Marcus I have bin redoing my Luftie scheme, heres a piccie of work so far. and an early WIP of another scheme.

Very nice, mate! :applause:

Just one more bean to count:
All the Bundeswehr aircraft usually had their serial (not to be confused with the tactical code!) stencilled on the tailfin, just below the flag and approx. as wide as the flag. This inventory number consisted of the armed service's part ("Luftwaffe" in this case), the aircraft type and specific serial. In some cases, this serial represents the manufacturer's c/n (as on the Piaggio P.149), sometimes it was the former US tailnumber.

For the depicted 14+07, it should read:

Luftwaffe C-47D 44-76862

Due to texture resolution, this rego of course won't be readable, but in my eyes, it's just a question of accuracy to allusively put it there... :icon_lol:

Cheers,
Markus.

It now says it .

I don't supose anybody fancies doing a repaint of the BBMF Dakota in its new colour scheme which can be seen on planemad.com,please.

Regards Paul Day.

A BIG thank you to Manfred and team, Huub, Steve, Markus and all those others who have posted skins for these beauties.

I'm now up to 59 and I'll definitely have to split them in more manageable hangars as this one is getting a wee bit crowded...:icon_lol:

Now, maybe wartime, post-war and late versions... :kilroy:

Cheers,

Fleurdelys

59?!?! :jawdrop: Wow! Are any of those commercial liveries? And WHERE would I find them? ( I've searched AVSIM & FLIGHTSIM and found only one, KLM from the '60s. )

Converting the 'simple' Air America Douglas C-47 repaint from FSX to FS2004 was much more complicated than expected, so a separate version for the 'senior' Flight Sim has now been uploaded - AAM994_fs9.zip.
