Eyes Front - a new Macchi MC.205 Veltro for FS9 and FSX

Absolutely amazing Manuele! When I realise the problems you had to face, it is amazing to see the result of your hard work!

Thanks,
Huub

Hello again-
Remembering what Huub posted regarding a C205 project at Aeroplane Heaven, I inquired with them as to the status of it. They kindly replied that sure enough- they have one that's just about ready for release. Initially it would have been made for FS9, but it's been changed and added to and converted to FSX. I was sadly amused to hear from them that they were holding back from releasing it due to the freeware C205 being released, and wishing to avoid 'the inevitable comparisons'. I went ahead and replied that I was sure that there was probably not much to worry about regarding comparisons, assuming they referred to this C205(I know of, nor can find, another one available for FSX or FS9). So it appears that there will be a Veltro for FSX from AH before long... -Mike Z.

I fly both myself- so it's definitely going to be watched for... in the meantime (he said, rolling up his sleeves and opening his toolbox), I guess I'll just keep tinkering... -Mike Z.

Hi Friends,
I just uploaded the textures for an aircraft belonged to the 3rd Squadriglia of 1st Gruppo Caccia of A.N.R.(Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana), based on Reggio Emilia Airport during June 1944. I hope You understand (and excuse me) that the repaint contains some errors due to the known reasons.......
BUT......
I have a surprise for You: Mr.Pietro Zazzetta (Italianwings, the author of CR.42 I'm actually working) will send me during the next days his CFS3 Macchi MC.202 together with a...... Macchi MC.205 for CFS3/FS9 conversion!!!!!!!!
The '202 is the aircraft actually used in CFS3/MAW, but the '205 is completely new, it was prepared also for MAW, but NEVER finished. The external model probably is complete, but Mr.Pietro told me the VC needs to be modified (at this moment the '202's one is used).

Ciao Manuele!

Will you finish the MC205 for FS2004 only or also for CFS3? (Please, pretty please!:engel016:)

That would be real great!

Thanks anyway for all your work on the Italian birds for the virtual flying world....:medals:

Cheers

Today was a terrible day until I saw this news. Suddenly everything brightened again! Do you intend to convert both the Folgore and the Veltro or just the MC.205?

Manuele, I know you already have more than enough plans for the future, but Giovanni "Nanni" Cignoni has made a nice G.55 for CFS3 and in the past I heard somebody whisper he would make it available when somebody would like to convert it into FS9. As said I know you already have too many plans, but when you ever get bored ;)

Thanks for the nice repaint. The model was not worth to keep, but suddenly this repaint has made it a complete different model!

Claudius, Manuele de-shined the model for his own use, but he can't upload this converted model without the permission of the designer who made his model. But you can do it yourself with the toold mentioned in post 12 from this thread. It isn't difficult because even I can do it!

Cheers,
Huub

Hello-
I agree with Huub- Manuele's skin Makes that model... He's also right with respect to the CFS3 G55- that would be sweet in FS9.
Manuele, is the C205 model you mention related at all to the old IS4G C205 for CFS3?
-Mike Z.

Mike, I could be wrong, but I thought the IS4G Veltro for CFS3 was done by Alessandro Casadio.

Huub- I thought you might be right, so I went back and checked the readme file from the .zip for it, and it says Corrado La Posta, www.isoliti4gatti.com... I know Alessandro made some nice skins for the Folgore and the Veltro CFS2 versions, though... one skin I adapted for this Veltro, and one for the FS9 Folgore... -Mike Z.
