  • Special Server Maintenance

    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

    To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

I was not sure if the Vikrant Aicarrier file and carrier group were of any interest for people, but in the end I thought that it might be a nice addition to get a place to fly the Sea Hawk from as it is the only model available which depicts a carrier which the aircraft actually flew from.

KD had a custom build island and radar fit and a slightly highter angle on the landing deck, but I think it will be a good stand in with a dedicated deck texture.

Not yet. Are you keeping this one private too? If not, then please go on. There are plenty of other repaints for me to do. But I see no point in doing a repaint somebody else is already doing. We're not doing a contest, are we?

Looks good Peter!

Just out of curiosity, have you found any pictures of the Indian Mk.100 with the Marineflieger/RN high demarcation line? All the pictures I have seen shows Mk.100 repainted in the standard Indian center fuselage demarcation line with painted tailfin and white underside. I know drawings from decals sets show them in the German scheme, but I have never seen any real pics of it.
