Welcome back Matt.

If you don't mind me asking, are you doing the same plane as I? If yes, I will graciously bow out. There's plenty I can do with other projects. It was originally in your hands anyway.

A few progress shots. Right-Click/view image for best detail.

All lettering re-done, Avia Logo redone.

Oleboy, excellent progress! Loving what you are doing here my friend. Don't stop now. :applause:

Matt is working on the Avia 51 now. These paint schemes will be awesome and I appreciate you both for stepping up to the challenge. :jump:

Thanks Milton. I'm giving it my best. It's all clear now that I will be doing the 156, and Matt will be doing the 51. I just don't want to get into a competition, as I do this for my own enjoyment. Once it turns into a "I .vs. You" thing, I lose interest all together. I'm just like that.

With that off my chest, I will continue forward Sir :salute:

Something I want to point out Milton, if you don't mind my getting a little fussy. If you look at the way the framing (Right side windshield) sinks into the nose. It doesn't match the other side (which is fine) could you have a look at it in your modeling program and possibly tweak it a bit to eliminate the difference?

hey Oleboy, thanks for the welcome back... yeah i'm focussing my efforts on the -51, unfortunately she's an entirely different kettle of fish altogether, and a lot of the lines are having to be drawn on, rivet guesstimations made and then i can move onto the Metal effect.... preliminary images soon....

No problem; it is a bit hard to see these things without textures. Once I have your preliminary textures, I will correct that, add the fairing, and add in the airscoops to match the texture placement.

Thanks

first look of the -51 textures, still a long way till we see first sim pics but this can be considered an early taster.....

so it's 7:30am.... i've been up all night with the rivet gun and have got the front left riveted up (Guesstimation by studying the construction photos)..... still to go are the remainder of fuselage, then onto the wings etc.... will be more than 24h spent continuously on 1 aircraft before the day is done...

i'll take a NATO if ones goin' :icon_lol:

(for those who don't know to us British troops a NATO, when referring to a drink is a Normal Army Tea Order, White... 2 sugars)

onto the rear left, standby for updated image.... without a lot of the stuff yet to be added still....

here we go, these textures are currently at 2048*2048 so are twice FS9 scale and have yet to be resized but here's all the rivets i have in place so far....

Excellant work all!

O' course it would be my luck to get all those rivets done and then find out it was a wooden aircraft or some such.. lol
