Introducing the Avia 51

Excellant work all!

O' course it would be my luck to get all those rivets done and then find out it was a wooden aircraft or some such.. lol

Been there, done that, have the shirt to prove it. A bit of pre-Photoshop investigation is now a RULE that must never be broken.

Kαλώς τον!!!!!

i'll take a NATO if ones goin' :icon_lol:

(for those who don't know to us British troops a NATO, when referring to a drink is a Normal Army Tea Order, White... 2 sugars)

onto the rear left, standby for updated image.... without a lot of the stuff yet to be added still....

Boy oh boy have you made my day Matt! :applause::jump::applause::jump::applause:

(I knew you'd find a way back! Rescouceful little bugger).

And look at him everyone...straight back to work too. Do ya stuff Matt!

Do your magic!

now happy with the fuselage..... it's wings time! maybe by the end of today i'll have the first bird done.... hopefully.....

you know it's time to panic when......

.... you hear "good morning ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard this Avia 51, i'm your captain, Matt Wynn...." :icon_lol:

schemes WIP now.... starting to get some colour :salute: they do say "never share a cockpit with someone braver than yourself" :icon_lol:

More Nato? Coming at ya ...

Great progress Matt. Rivets looking very nice. When modeling we cover every inch of the aircraft many times; seems the textures artists do the same. Of course, I knew that, but it had to be said. :)

The rivets will look great with that bare metal finish.

ΤαχυΜατθαίος!!!

Wooow. You're really going like the clappers, and working your magic.

Power to your brush m'boy!

Coffee?
(laced with finest Metaxa...you certainly deserve it!)

Nice touch Matt! :applause:

The whole project is firing the enthusiasm and genuine interest that this delightful, but sadly little known little aircraft rightly deserves.

Just loving it!

As we are want to say in Fairbanks Alaksa (at least in the winter) Way Cool!

Cheers from Osan Korea: T

Hi there Nigel.

Will you be doing the sound files and effects for the 51, and 156? For now I tossed in the default DC-3. Seems to work OK.

I think he has departed for the farm for a week.

The sounds for the "51" are done; awesome through and through. :jump:

He has started the sounds for the "156", good solid 12 cylinder sounds. :)

Effects we have not talked about yet.

Ahh, right. OK, I'll be looking forward to everything. I had to add a different panel due to FSX errors with FS8 gauges not working. All sorted. I just needed something to make what I was working on, have more feel :icon_lol:

T.A.E. was one of the Greek airlines post-war, i have half a mind to do an Avia as a "what if it had been moved out of the Germans way during WW2, and was put back into service in 1946" as such i've located an image of a Douglas C-54 which'll serve as the reference....

Obviously I'm biased, but this scheme would certainly look awesome on the '56 Matt. :applause:

My eyes aren't as good as yours but is that white fus top?
