Macchi MC.202 "Folgore" , First Flight (W.I.P.)

This aircraft was flown by the Italian ace Capitano Ezio Viglione Borghese, Commanding Officer of 96 a Squadriglia (9 Gruppo 4 Stormo) Gela, May 1942. This aircraft was one of the few with inverted tropical scheme produced by Aermacchi between February and April 1942.
I have asked Manuele's permission to upload. Depending his answer it will most likely be available this weekend.

In my opinion, the most elegant of all C.202 paint schemes. Superb artwork Huub.
As said I have had contact with Manuele about this repaint. He expects to have a pre-release version from the early model paintkit ready next week. He generously offered to send me this paintkit once finished. Therefore I want to wait a week so I will be able to upload the repaint with the correct early model wings.
So I would like to ask for some patience. However those who can not wait this long can shoot me an PM with their e-mail address and I will send the current repaint as soon as possible.

Yes agreed good sounds, but probably not Macchi sounds. If you look down the YouTube comments you'll see that the guy who uploaded it also made the sounds from scratch (ie other sound clips), the DB sound from the 202 is a modern Me109 sound clip, the radials may be from something like a Chaika/Rata, TBH it sounded exactly like that at Duxford.
He did a superb job, looks/sounds very good and captures the atmosphere well.

You could be right Shessi, I was surprised to find such HQ sound on a vintage film!
Should have guessed. I remember the old I-16 in Duxford back in 2010 because I had no clue what it was
. It does sound very similar...
I will have some time to pick up my paint can and finnish it up in the next couple of weeks. Sorry for the delay I havent painted anything for a couple of weeks now.

Actually I'm working on the C.202's "Service/Expansion Pack" that will contain new models (fixed Mid Production, new Early Production and Late Production aircraft) and new textures, I asked the Huub's permission in order to include his stunning works in the package. I hope to upload the new package before March.....

Thanks for the nice words guys. As Manuele already explained we joint forces I'm sure we will enjoy the product of Manuele's efforts.
Although I have FSX installed including many nice models, I still prefer to "fly"in FS9. There is so much nice scenery available by guys like Cees Donker, Ian Elliot and all those who contributed so much to our hobby. Also the amount of available warbirds is huge compare with FSX.
I have currently finished the first standard Breda scheme and have started on the second less heavy mottled scheme. When we have these standard schemes it is quite easy to add additional repaints by just adding the unit and personal markings.
Aermacchi C.202 (MM.8122(?) of 386 a Squadriglia, 21° Gruppo Autonome C.T. Kantemirowka (Russia). October 1942. From September 1942 a dozen aircraft, fresh from factory, were assigned to 21° Gruppo, which was active in the area around Stalingrad. All aircraft were painted in standard Breda desert scheme and belonged to the 8th production batch. Instead of concentrating them in one squadron, three of them were assigned to each of the Gruppo's four squadrons. Following the German aircraft in this area the common yellow tactical markings were applied. All aircraft also displayed white backwards pointed triangles on the wings. The aircraft were completed with C.200 like unit and individual codes and a group badge on the tail.
Some of you might have noticed the wrong unit code, but like most of my screenshots, this WAS still work in progress.
