iniBuilds T-33 Jet Trainer Released

still far from perfect, but slowly getting somewhere with the decals.
Would anyone have detailed pics of the stencils on the Belgian birds? Richard perhaps? I'm having a hard time here, in many ways...

Excellent Jan Kees ! Thank you ! :encouragement:

No photo's of Belgian Stars yet but i'll see what i can come up with for you. In the mean time, and i don't know if you have any use for them of course, but here's a bunch of Tanguy & Laverdure T-Birds :

Sorry JK, after a quick look at the photos and documentation I have regarding the maintenance stencils and in particular the rescue instructions for the Belgian T33s, I have nothing that allows me to read what is written on them.
But I can already say that the natural metal versions did not have the same stencils as the Vietnam versions.
The subject needs to be explored further.

I'm blown away by how fast you guys are able to crank 'em out. Methinks Blender is in my future... something to learn this winter I guess.

Coming along, redoing the fuselage markings. The decal files are nice but they aren't the same scale, if you are using standard sized markings between the fuselage and wing (and tail for that matter) they will appear to be different sizes once on the model.

Still have to do cutouts around lower wing markings and clean up some other stuff.

It takes me a week to do a livery too...
Not real life, I did this one just for my own use but it looks right so - an RAF livery for the iniBuilds T-33 in Trainer Yellow as used in the late 50's, early 60's. Imagine the RAF got an evaluation airframe...until we get a Jet Provost :)RAF.jpg

Can someone tell me where these textures are? I can't find them in the folders...

thanks in advance for your reply

in practice, given how the model was built, it is almost impossible to make an asymmetric camouflage. We have texture decals that only cover certain areas, and even in some places not with the correct overlap, and in some parts only one texture applied to both the right and left. the result is that liveries like this one I was making, even if it is for an RT-33 but I like it a lot and wanted to see it worn on our T-33, absolutely cannot be made.

Baffling to me that a developer would put so much attention and detail into the model itself and so little into the exterior texturing ( the mirroring concept was an FS9 and probably pre-FS9 concept). It would appear that modeling was extremely important and texturing was an afterthought. A pretty poor production plan. The incorrect pilot size would be a part of that as well, something that was obvious to many but not the developer.

Or ...he just couldn't care less.
