MiG-15 Fagot

Just have to make sure you have AVHistory weapons/guns is installed(easy) and that's it
yes, I know... and that is exactly what I dont want - to waste the CFS3 installation with any another party additional files, to be dependent on such stuff (means to download something yet to get it even working). it reall isnt the right way for airplane add-on development.

really hate s(h)ituations where it acts "you need to find and download and install a weapon pack, to get it working"... next "
you need to find and download and install a weapon pack effects, to get it working properly", next "you need to find and download and install blabla bla bla bla" end so over and over!

did you need this for the CFS3 Komet pack? No. all needed files are included in the package.
did you need this for the CFS3 Fagot pack (which are you testing now)? No. all needed files are included in the package.

Installed the B-29 found here and works perfectly fine in the Korea expansion. ... A nice target !!
question: are the B-29 as AI targets active defending itself when attack?
I am thinking if to make the low poly AI bomber / gunner stations working. I am not sure if we did this for the CFS3 B-17s included in the Komet package. our AI bombers are probably very easy unarmed targets there.

I understand what you are saying and it's true. Like the new Spitfire package that requires modding files and is technically complicated. It's a no go to me. Your Me-163 was a very easy install and i thank you for keeping it simple.

well, to be honest, to get it all working properly / enjoy all the geckos special features the user should to add / edit a few rows at a few original cfs3 xml files there or here and also should run the script executable, but without all this "pain" is the mod playable aswell, no game crash to desktop or so on... but the main point is all the needed files are included in the package already.

You could edit the B-29 xpd file to eliminate the weapons you don't want to install.
sure I could, but I dont care... ;)

That makes the most sense Borek . That's why i don't add aircraft to the Il-2 '46 sims i have.Too complicated for me and can be buggy.:dizzy: CFS3 is very stable compared to Il-2 '46 and all the addons available for them.

yeah... lets still stuck with CFS3 ;)

ok, finalizing the skins for the upcoming public release. it seems it will include cca 3x cammo scheme and 3x bare metal paint scheme, all Korea conflict related.

having small question now: would you accept to implement into the model the bobmsight view aswell? I am asking because the MiG-15bis is able to take bombs... and the regular Fagot actually was later "modded" into a "SB" version( a fighter bomber) aswell.

thank you, will check the model. still, the quick look at the model renders seems present something similar to the free B-29 gmax / cfs3 model.

I may do it from scratch yet much less detailed. same for some kind another AI airplane creations, like F-86 etc. in logic as the AI B-17 from the Komet package is...
we are talking here aprox a week or two time frame per model, when enough of free hobby time would be available...

will rethink it for some future MiG mod enhancements.

LOL! thanks :)

ok, all skins for the public release are done, here are the two metalic ones. CFS3 AnKor shaders off.

note: it may look different at your CFS3 graphical config...

so, MajorMagee got the pre-final release stuff aswell, and will try to fix some things there yet and mainly patch the 3d models, to get it working with AnKor shaders bit better.

my presonal experience is the current unpatched metal/silver reflective Fagot skins looks nice when AnKor shader are set off (NumPad key 0),
when AnKor shader are set on, then they are simply matt... and the current camouflage specular Fagot skins looks nicer when AnKor shader on :)

eighter the future patched files will be accessible from the CFS3 menu together with the originals, or there will be included optional file replacement in the public package.

I think the AnKor compatible package is all done now, but I have one more go through to do this evening to make sure before I send the package off to Tibor.

Our freeware B-29 does not work well with the new shaders. The attached image is excessive to show the problem, but in short, while the fuselage is both shiny and reflective, the wings, tail, and horizontal stabilizers aren't. They just shine with no reflection, so they look white. I'm told it's something that can be fixed with a hex editor but I do not have the skills. If someone could fix it and fire it my way, I'd be happy to alter one of my WW2 skins into a Korean War one for you (within the limitations of it's texture mapping of course).

With all the German jets we've got now, I think we really need our freeware B-29 fixed for WW2's sake too!

Cleaned up an issue with the cannons this morning, so we now have the NR-23 and N-37 properly referenced and available to fire separately.

Thanks for all this good stuff, Majormagee and BorekS!

@Threedp, you could take a look at your shaders.xml, and try to tone down reflections there. It may be (Ankor or Gecko would know) that the Ankor's shaders augments the shaders.xml though I would assume the stuff in Shaders30 folder overrides the relevant lines of the shaders.xml file.

You would be looking at one of the shaders.xml entries addressing external dds textures, and the specular enable parameter (yes or no). Majormagees m3d tweaks, I would guess, are model specific but you may get some general benefits from tweaking the shaders xml.

as to the AnKor shader patched airplane models people just can get very different MiG-15 metalic skin visual results. just like the B-29 case. its because there exists zillion of CFS3 gxf tweaks (xml config edits). this cant hurt too much relating to specular masked skins, but it may have a huge effect on the reflex masked skins...
... in another words we cant garantee the MiG-15bis add-on will look at your pc as you awaiting, even patched.

I can see (again), the AnKor shaders are a step forwards relating to the CFS3 visual enjoyment, but might be a nightmare for CFS add-on developers. also, once all is fixed, a new shader release may kill this all.
