Mustangs are go!

Folks!

Our initial plans to release our own texture sets seems to have very much gone against the grain!
While this may well happen at some stage...

We will be releasing a Paint Kit!

What we would like to do is allow the paints to uploaded to this site, Flightsim.com, Warbirdsim and a few others.

For those who can use the factory example, then that is a great place to start.

We were worried about piracy, and the passing around of this product.
Please help us make sure this does not happen.

More details this week.

And a very sensible move if I may say so.
:applause:

Count me in!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Bomber, Warbert, and Warbirdsim!:jump::jump::jump::jump:
BTW: Bomber, you know that any repaint packages you paint and offer will be a welcome paid addition to these Ponies. Thanks again.

I think there's very few Pirates around here!! If there are any............I'd like to personally vist them!:d Glad the paint policy is changing somewhat.

The Flight Dynamics have as John pointed out, been tweaked & tweaked and then tweaked some more. We talked to a couple of '51' owners here in the UK and we hope we acheived the most realistic flying experience for the Mustang. We knew if John was pleased then it must be good.

The idea is that if you use a force feedback stick put the force settings on full, so the aeroplane real talks to you. From my experience of full size taildraggers, the Sim models of the same are always too twitchy and generally too easy to fly. Can't say for definate on the Mustang as have only ever gone in the back!

The FSX models when we do eventually release them will be a seperate purchase.
We wanted to go first with the FS9 models as believe it or not there are still more people using FS9 than FSX.

John is an employee of Warbirdsim so it is very difficult for him to comment about company policies and decisions that are directed at him. Please be patient and we will try to answer as many questions as possible.

Really hope all that eventually buy the aircraft will be pleased with their purchase.

Being able to print out the manual would go a long way in making me pleased!!

Good news all around!!! Congratulations John and Albert. :ernae:

Are you a photographer??

.
If you are a photographer you have to appreciate the luck and/or skill required to get this one.
He was actually able to capture the close-tolerance air space between the prop spinner and
the nacelle of the current 'Princess Elizabeth'

:kilroy:

Geez, can't friggin believe I have to buy the fsx pack at regular price even though I bought the fs9 fighter leader pack, what a crock of :censored:! :mixedsmi:

Had I known this I would have waited, guess the jokes on me?

Look what SibWings just did with there Safir fsx update, free to existing owners, lol

Amen to that!! Count me in:ernae:
I'll try a portover to FSX tonight and report

Just to let everyone know. I emailed Warbirdsim about the manual not being printable in the download version. They are changing the website to let everyone else know that it's not printable in that version. They also allowed me to upgrade to the CD version (comes with manual) and are refunding the diffrence of the double payment. I know it's a minor glitch but I like having a hardcopy of the manual! I have a manual for all my favorite warbirds. It lets me read procedures while I'm on the ground in the VC. Their support in this matter was fast! I'm impressed; thank you Warbirdsim!

Manual Print!

Dear All,

Manual Print!

Following up Mudmarines post:

We thought initially that we were not allowed to go with printable pdf.
After some frantic checks it appears we can.

We will make it available on the site next week.

Thanks
Albert

Arrrrggghhh! Now what do I do? I can wait for the printable to become avialable.........I really don't need the CD version.......?:banghead:

It gives you a backup, Mud.

Thank you Warbirdsim for changing the repaint policy. Looks like I'll have to get this one, now. I'm not a painter, :banghead:, but it will be nice to be able to add more paints to this beauty.

Can't say I agree with the full price to FSX policy. An upgrade discount would surely sell more, I would think. I don't have FSX working well, yet, so high priced aircraft are kept to FS9. Those that do have free or discounted upgrades I have gotten, for when it works properly. (Seems my video card is still the bottleneck.:banghead:.) Full price for both versions... don't have any of those. :kilroy:

And I hope they get that cfg problem fixed by the time paints are available. paranoia seems to run deep in a few places.

Ok I now have a new favorite aircraft in fs9 :jump: I took Princess on a flight from Astoria, OR to Hillsboro, OR and I'm very impressed with the sounds, flight dynamics and pretty much everything else on her :d I did nearly put her into the mountains between Astoria and Hillsboro though. When loading the fuel I apparently screwed up when typing how much fuel I wanted in the center tank. About 10 minutes from Astoria she quit...cold...nothing but quietness.... Luckly I had put 10 gallons in each wing tank "just in case" and was able to get her back to Astoria. Just goes to show, even in the sim world it pays to doublecheck your fuel before leaving the ground.

Great job John !!

Very pleased to hear to change in policy on re-paints. Before I heard that I bought the plane. I wanted the download version, but accidently selected the boxed one. Now I have to wait for the darned thing to arrive by snail-mail! I'm not sure it I will make it... Can't ... hold ... on ... much ... much ...
