SECTIONF8 Sabre released !

Thanks, Skyhawk!

Hmmm - must have been one of the civil operated target tugs. Thought they all wore dayglo...

For the statistics:
D-9523 was Canadair c/n 1784, Luftwaffe JB+106 (Jagdgeschwader 72) and BB+176 (Waffenschule 10).

Cheers,
Markus.

Hello Markus et al,

Thanks for the amazing repaints - love them all. I might be losing my mind, but I thought I recall seeing a QF-86 repaint posted somewhere - I've looked through all 3 F8 Sabre threads, and can't find it!

Anyone know where this is?

Thanks again - this model will certainly be a "benchmark setter" for sure.

Hi d_l ~

Look at AVSIM for Eric Joiner's QF-86F file name qf86.zip

OK - not losing my mind, but losing my eyesight! :caked: I somehow missed it when I searched both here, avsim, and flightsim.

You're the man, duck! Many thanks.

RNoAF repaint

Dear folks,

whilst waiting for the strongly anticipated 'non photoreal' paint kit, I was in the mood for some more 'bare metal'.

sabre_rnoaf_31151.zip
should be available at AVSIM soon.

Regards,
Markus.

Keep up the amazing work Jan! The F-86 has been the only thing I've been flying since it was released.

It's been a week with no response, so I'm unsticking this, but I'm posting one more response as a bump. Congrats again to Jan and the rest of the team that produced this work of art!

RNoAF 336 Sq

Hi, folks!

By special request, I'm trying to roll out the RNoAF 31120 'PX-O' of 366 Sq.
Unfortunately, I had no success in retrieving the 336 Sq badge/crest.
Has anyone an idea where to find?

Thanks in advance,
Markus.

F-86 Sabre

Brings back a lot of memories - when I was a young lad many years ago in the AF (we actually had airplanes that had piston engines in them, and props on the front!!) our squadron was given a rather bedraggled and the worse-for-wear static display F-86 from some playground to spruce up for duty as a gate guardian at Luke AFB. We had a veteran MSgt (WWII vet) who actually took care of one of these in Korea to supervise the strip-down and rebuild - I'll bet we bought every bit of Mother's polish in the Phoenix area but when we were done it shone like a new half-dollar. This -86 looks just like the one in my memories. Many thanks to you all for developing the bird - it flies beautifully and is an absolute joy to own. Looking forward to the other versions coming down the pike!!!

Yet another RNoAF repaint

Dear comrades!

Such is life.
While uploading this new repaint, I noticed that I've made a more-or-less 'fatal' error concerning the plane's lettering.
It should have been 'N-PX' on the port fuselage side...
Darn!
Asked for canceling this upload and gonna fix it tomorrow. So please be patient.

Here's some preview:

Cheers,
Markus.
